Come to the "Middle of Nowhere" (Pittsburgh, NH) and join Pam and Bob on another 4th of July Adventure. Instead of staying in the Boston area to enjoy 3 days of sun, we opted to go kayaking in the rain (sun for only 20 minutes in 3 days). Not that we are complaining. When dressed properly, kayaking in the rain has its rewards. For example you don't have to wake up at dawn and hang around after sunset to see wild animals. They seem to enjoy the rain ... as you will see. So meet some people at three local restaurants. Enjoy a movie in our tent (What you thought we were roughing it?). See some fishing at the East Inlet. View beautiful wild flowers as we kayak on Scott's Bog. And most of all marvel at the wildlife -- A family of Canada Geese, a lone Bald Eagle, multiple sightings of Loons, A Hooded Merganser duck trying to divert us from her ducklings, a large Buck Deer and of course the ever sought after Moose. It may be the middle of nowhere but it's not "... the end of the world."
