After leaving the The Tail of the Dragon we headed south towards our destination, Vero Beach, FL. Along the way we passed Atlanta. GA, went through part of Ft Stewart to Richmond, GA where we had breakfast with Pam's son, Will, his wife, Julie and family. They were in the process of selling their home and moving to Ft Benning where they will live for the next few years. So the visit was short but sweet.
Vero Beach was our destination because of an invitation from Scott, Bob's nephew. We needed a place to stay while waiting for Bob's son, Ryan, to make last minute arrangements for his surprise Proposal to long time girlfriend, Jenn (see the "Ryan.Jenn.Proposal" gallery at rpeek.zenfolio.com).
On our way to Vero Beach we scouted the Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach and other attractions. When we discovered that the Kennedy Space Center has Complimentary Kennel Services, we decided to return the next day and tour the Space Center in more detail.
Scott and Sennu were not at Vero Beach but daughters Sarah and Abbey were more than capable hosts. This was ideal for Pam who loves playing board and card games with them. While there we had the opportunity to surprise them with a new toilet seat (private joke)
