This gallery features a Ski Trip Sponsored by the Bates Outing Club involving an overnight stay at the Abnaki Ski Club Cabin at the top of the Beginners Slope. The chaperone was Dr. Goldat of the Philosophy Department. This cabin no longer exists but was a great resource at the time. It was pretty rustic with a wood burning stove, no running water and an outhouse for when nature called. On one trip it was so cold that one of the girls froze to the toilet "seat" and needed help to escape. How that was accomplished is another story. The trip was probably in April with sunny conditions and great Spring Skiing.
