This is a Gallery of a surprise engagement proposal planned by my son, Ryan, for his sweetheart, Jenn, after dating for almost 10 years. The pretense was for her to go to the beach for some photos that would be used to promote their business, Peek Kinetics. Things became more complicated when Ryan's friend, Sahil (from Massachusetts), and we decided we had to be there. Pam and I were in a holding pattern 2 hours north in Vero Beach. The decision was made to reschedule for the next day, July 30, which happens to be our 12th Wedding Anniversary. On the 30th, 3 hours before the event, Ryan was able to meet Sahil and bring him to the beach to show us all where the proposal was to take place. We hid our white car in the midst of other white cars to lessen the chance that Jenn would recognize it and then hid ourselves. After much waiting we finally saw some flashes along the sidewalk and were able to get a distant picture of Jenn in her white dress. To make a long story short we finally spotted them on the beach one entrance further down than we anticipated. ... just in time to capture the proposal from a distance. Fortunately, with the help of a good camera, photoshop and a lot of cropping the photos came out better than we could have expected. They capture the moment Ryan takes the ring out of his back pocket and her realization of what is happening. It was GREAT.
Oh, almost forgot. This was also our first chance to meet Samson, their new baby Rottweiler. He is a handful of joy on his way to becoming a real moose.
