The Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo was one of the most memorable days of our month long road trip.
It wasn't even on our map until we had breakfast with a couple at the entrance of Rocky Mtn Natl Park. They had just come from Cheyenne and recommended it highly. So on the spot we decided to backtrack a few hundred miles and check it out. We weren't disappointed. It turns out that this is not just a rodeo, but the largest of them all -- a step back into the old west. Rodeos are big time athletic events with champions who make over 2 million dollars in prize money. I suggest you view this gallery on your computer and click on the slideshow button.
