While attending the French Family Reunion (see another gallery) Pam and I went kayaking. Immediately after we launched, we were completely amazed when a moose came out of the woods, walked into the water and proceeded to swim across lake Wannake - approx 1/4 mile. Following it in my kayak I accidentally crossed into his "space" on several occasions. He woujld give me the "evil eye" and suddenly turn towards me in a menacing manner. I would drop the camera and paddle away before shooting again. Because of our presence he changed his course enough that he ended up in someone's back yard instead of his intended destination. These are only a few of the 173 pictures I was able to capture during the crossing.
