Nanny will be on Nantucket on Mother's Day and there is no way Bob and Pam can be there to celebrate with her. Nanny knows this .... but what she doesn't know is that they can come the day before.

Going to Nantucket is an experience to savor all by itself. Two hours on a ferry (Pam doing paperwork, Bob looking for pictures) ... then the lighthouse and the beautiful entrance to Nantucket harbor. The Grand Wagoneer is arriving... Ralph is right on time.

The trip to the Keith home is always nostalgic as we drive down scenic, narrow roads to 153 Main Street.

Now we've got to sneak into the house without Nanny noticing ... so with Bonnie keeping Nanny busy, Ralph sneaks Pam and Bob into the television room ... to await Nanny's arrival. Nanny is concentrating on her walking and gets half way into the room before she looks up and realizes that there are unexpected visitors. Her face tells the whole story.

Time for some great sandwiches before taking a trip in the Grand Wagoneer through the Serengeti (we saw a camel... honest ... look carefully in the pictures) and then out on to an isolated beach in the middle of nowhere. Back on the road we visit a lighthouse that had to be moved to avoid the encroaching sea that threatens to take some beautiful homes only a block away.

Time to watch some TV, participate in some energized discussion and discover it is time to go home.

The treats are not over ... be one of the first to be driven back to the Ferry in the back of the newly finished Grand Willy's Nantucket Edition ... Ralph's most recent car/truck project.
