Marconi Beach and Coast Guard Light are two great destinations.
Marconi is the site of where the first wireless signal was sent from the US to England over 100 years ago. Over time the site has been eroded by the relentless forces of the sea. Today the Marconi Towers are gone along with an exhibit that used to describe this historic site. Trails are lined by protective fencing to prevent visitors from falling over the collapsing cliffs. The trails themselves are slowly disappearing into the sea.
The Coast Guard Beach and Light provide a totally different experience. Both offer beautiful vistas and a chance to get in touch with the land ... and the sea.
One of my favorite pictures in this gallery is the black and white of the old deteriorating coast guard site.
