This gallery #17 of our 2019 Road Trip takes us from Rapid City, SD to Wall, SD, through the Badlands National Park to a Super 8 in Mitchel, SD.
This was one of our favorite days. A visit to Wall Drug just outside the Badlands of SD is always a memorable experience. The Badlands are so unique that they never get boring, but this year things were not so "bad". More rain than usual resulted in beautiful vistas of lush green and yellow. Wildlife was everywhere and I had an unexpected encounter with a Bighorn Sheep on a grassy knoll and watched another two sheep challenge one another on the side of a cliff. This was shared with a German couple who were having a wonderful time in our country. There is a shot in this gallery of Pam taking a picture of her foot with a purple toed sandal. This was taken at the exact spot (not the same angle) of a picture taken 3 years earlier of Pam taking a picture of her cowboy boots. Both photos are included.
