It's Easter 2021 and we are scheduled to visit Pam's mom in Gilford, NH. Why not take a 100 mile detour to see the sun rise at one of our favorite spots: The Nubble Lighthouse in York, ME.

Sunrise was at 6:17AM so we would have to leave early.

We woke at 3:30AM, left the cape at 4AM and arrived at the Nubble at exactly 6:00AM.

It was well worth it. Clear skies, no wind and a perfect setting to celebrate the Resurrection. We stayed an hour and then left for NH. We came upon Lake Winnipesaukee a day before ice out and could see the thin ice in places it had not yet melted.

As we entered Gilford we were able to see a snow peaked Mt Washington about 60 miles in the distance.

We left Gilford late in the afternoon and arrived on the cape in time for Pam to prepare her lessons for tomorrow's day at school.

That should satisfy our wonder lust for at least 5 days when we will be going north again to see Tara, Erich and family and then lunch with Ryan and Jenn.
